"Life and Cash"

I remember the day I started working to earn. As a coincidence, that day was my mother's birthday - January 5. At the end of the month, I was so happy because the salary I got was still more than what my older sister could make.

But, of course, the working conditions between us were quite different; I was just slightly better than hard labour while my sister works in a shopping mall - seeing rich people, smelling fresh and fragrant air.

The amount of money that I had made for the first time in my life totalled 53,500 MMK or something around that. I gave my mom and my step-dad 35,000 MMK from it, and I kept the remaining cash in my pocket.

Time flies so fast!

I also remember a day that I went to the house of one of my relatives when I was at that time suffering from a wound that I got from an accident that happened at work.

Because on that visit, my rich relative gave me a blessing by saying "you be free from poverty." To be honest, from such a close relative, I just wanted to get encouragement (as I was still feeling down-hearted, hopeless and depressed) instead of such a straight-forward blessing. I was quite frustrated!

But, nowadays, after a decade, I have realized such bitter persons or incidents of life are indeed the real masters for one. They may not tell you to figure out what habits drain your budget, to follow a saving plan, nor how to spend wisely.

But what exactly they say is "money is so important for a living."

There is nothing between you and money. There are only you and money. If an amount of money you own, it's yours. You can use it for good or bad reasons. Is this still too materialistic?

Okay! Just read a little bit more although I know that you are already bored.

There are people in your life; your parents, siblings, spouse, friends, kid, life-partners, colleagues and so on. And you! The money that you have 'NOW' is that the money you 'HAVE'. Right? Not the piece of none of the anterior ones.

This long text wants to remind you of only a couple of things. Appreciate your hard-earned cash as if an adorable child with your blood. Think twice or more if you are at a junction of thought to spend on something. That's it!

The gap between life and cash is all about life-work balance what people usually say. There may be more arguments - but the 'gap' is meanwhile, the root of the whole.

From a trishaw man to the President, any dream, and passion, the meaning of life needed that primary fact. In the end, we will need to share all these ideas to our children. Especially, convince them people have no mercy in 'money' related issues even if their closet ones.

I wish "you to be free from any financial insecurity."

Best
